THE FACES
LOMA was founded by Dan and Nikki, the duo behind Byron Bay’s iconic Bay Leaf Café. What began as a local café turned community hub has grown into LOMA – Roast + Life, a brand built around high-quality coffee, human connection, and ethical sourcing.
Kyle, the General Manager- completes the journey. With years of experience owning and operating a specialty roastery, Kyle has helped shape the Australian coffee scene.
Together, Dan, Nikki, and Kyle are the heart of LOMA - a team dedicated to doing things better: for coffee lovers, for farmers, and for the planet.
Ethically Sourced, Direct Trade Coffee
At LOMA, we believe great coffee starts with transparency and responsibility. That’s why we only work with green bean partners who source directly from farmers. Every cup you drink supports real people at the farm level - creating better outcomes for families, communities, and ecosystems.
We’re currently working with South American Bean (SAB) and seven farming families in Huila, Colombia - one of the world’s most respected regions for high-altitude specialty coffee.

How we roast
We’ve carefully crafted two signature blends—Golden Hour and Sunrise - each thoughtfully developed to create a memorable coffee moment, whether you prefer it black or with your favorite milk.
🌇 Golden Hour
Smooth, bold, and comforting. Expect rich notes of cocoa, caramel, and brown spice when served black. Add milk, and it softens into a velvety mix of hazelnut, cocoa, and caramel.
🌄 Sunrise
For a brighter, more adventurous cup. Served black, it delivers ripe forest berries, citrus, and milk chocolate. With milk, it transforms into a sweet, nutty blend of milk chocolate, praline, and berries.
☕ Single Origin
We also offer a rotating lineup of single origin coffees—available for both espresso and filter- hand selected by our team for flavour and the unique story behind each farm.

Sustainability is part of our core; it's built into every step of our process. From direct trade coffee sourcing to waste minimisation and investing in long-term farmer relationships, LOMA is committed to being an ethical coffee brand that makes a difference.
